Fundamental Analysis
Key Financial Insights: ⢠Strong margins ⢠Low asset turnover ⢠Excess tangible assets First Horizon combines strong margins and positive FCF with conservative leverage but very low asset turnover/ROA and tangible assets far exceeding market cap, suggesting potential undervaluation despite accounting and investment concentration risks.
Price Behavior
Key Price Behavior Insights: ⢠Above short-term SMA ⢠Repeated stalls ⢠Support ~21.7 Support Level: $21.73 Resistance Level: $23.20â$23.30 Over the last month FHN shows a mild short-term bullish biasâclose $23.18 is above the ~$22.38 last-month SMA after a ~6â7% recovery from the $21.7 area, with clear support near $21.73 and immediate resistance at $23.2â$23.3 that must be cleared for further upside while repeated stalls at $23.3 and lower intraday highs warn of rollover risk to $21.7.
Sentiment & News
Key News Insights: ⢠Capital repositioning ⢠Modest revenue growth ⢠Investor engagement First Horizon is actively reshaping capital (issued $400M Series H, redeeming Series C), conducting investor outreach amid modest revenue momentum and analyst favorability, while emphasizing local branding and hiring.
AI Summary
First Horizon has shifted from a cyclical regional-recovery story to an execution-dependent, capital-managed growth thesis where recent earnings are materially supported by oneâtime accretions and active capital moves rather than durable margin expansion. Actionable trigger: require 2â3 quarters of sustained core fee growth and NII (absent oneâoffs), stable deposit trends, and disciplined buyback/capital sequencing to validate upsideâfailure (NIM compression, CRE stress, or dilutive capital) would likely drive meaningful downside.
